Wardrobe made up of panels made from small teak tiles with alternating direction. Spit into two sections with large doors and small doors.
A bedside table made from teak tiles with alternating grain direction to form a pattern for the drawer fronts and side panels.
A detail shot of a teak wardrobe.

Commissions many years ago made from Teak and finished with a simple wax finish. Each tile has a groove on both the sides and the ends then loose tenons and tongues connect the tiles. Only the frame is glued at the mortise and tenon joints. This was a replication from a photo in a magazine.
Although the overall effect appears to work I find these pieces very dominating and are incredibly heavy both visually and physically.
Good experience but I won’t be repeating this.
