I was deeply inspired by Scandinavian furniture design with this table. Variations of this form are quite common in Nordic craft but strangely foreign in Zimbabwe. I’m not quite sure why because in my book the soft elegant round legs and pale timber and structure make for a warm, light and uplifting addition to homely spaces. Perhaps us Zimbabweans prefer heavier set and darker tones in our furniture? Or more flourish and less restraint. Maybe I am the outlier here in the land of teak, ornament and build.
